Background
After graduating from Full Sail University in Show Production & Touring in 2000, I quickly realized that audio and lighting weren’t the right fit for me. Instead, I gravitated toward backline work, and by 2001, I was working full-time in guitar repair at Third Coast Guitar Service (3CGS) in Chicago, IL. Over the years, I repaired thousands of guitars, specializing in setups, structural repairs, electronics, and refinishing. Even after leaving 3CGS to begin touring in 2006, I continued returning between tours, further refining my craft and working in the shop until 2011.
Since then, I’ve spent nearly two decades on the road, working as a guitar and bass technician for artists ranging from small pop-punk bands to A-list headliners. As of 2025, I continue touring full-time as a guitar and bass tech for Bruno Mars, but I’m now shifting my focus toward establishing a permanent shop in the Cleveland area. This next chapter allows me to continue my passion for guitar repair while spending more time at home with my wife and three children.
